AMSAT Block of Rooms at Dayton

AMSAT will once again have a block of rooms available for members at the Dayton Hamvention. The AMSAT rate will be available from May 14 Through May 18. To reserve a room you can e-mail Martha at the AMSAT Office (martha@amsat.org) or call her at (301) 589-6062; fax at (301) 608-3410. She will need to know your name, your daytime phone number, dates room needed, credit card number and expiration date. Remember, “if you snooze, you lose”!

The 21st Annual Winter Shortwave Listeners (SWL) Fest, sponsored by the North American Shortwave Association (NASWA), will be held on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Best Western Inn in Kulpsville, Pennsylvania (30 miles north of Philadelphia). The convention s the largest gathering of listeners to the radio spectrum in the United States and perhaps the world, and covers longwave, mediumwave, shortwave broadcasts, utilities, pirates, VHF/UHF, FM, scanners, television and satellites. About 200 hobbyists and broadcasters from across the country and around the world attend each year.
